That documentary was one of the best ones I’ve ever seen. And surely there’s not a soul who saw it that didn’t cry.

Won’t You Be My Neighbor? is the name of the doc, btw. The name of the Tom Hanks film is Its A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood.

Watched Parasite and Once Upon A Time in Hollywood yesterday.

Really enjoyed Parasite. Didn’t see it ending the way it did at all. Loved it though.

Once Upon A Time...glad I watched. Wasn’t as impressed.

I really loved Wendy. Great reimagining of one of our most vital and immortal stories.

Color Out Of Space.

DAMN, im so glad Richard Stanley made a new movie...Loved everything about this one, the weirdness, the gory stuff, the monsters...and another legendary performance by Nic Cage.

She's Gotta Have It.

I still fail to understand why Spike Lee isn't a bigger deal.

Steve Albini wrote:Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Mr. Right (2015).

Entertaining enough. Brilliant is spots but ultimately doesn't know what to do with its premise or its cast. Kendrick and Rockwell are fucking great, as always. Their chemistry is undeniable. Both give electric, nuanced, hilarious and heartbreaking performances.

Liked it fine for a streaming flyer film but really wanted it to be better.

it took breaking it up into four days, but I watched The Sound of Music for the first time in my life.

it's one of my wife's favorite movies. I'm not much on musicals, but I actually enjoyed it. And I no idea Christopher Plummer was in it.

Strange things are afoot at the Circle K, because I’m watching Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure.

The Last Wagon. Was on my top ten list of westerns I haven’t seen.

Widmark was a fine actor, but the movie was too preachy, similar to many modern Hollywood movies. It’s not that I’m opposed to the values they represent (anti racism, diversity etc), but I would rather just watch a good movie.

Widmark is one of my all-time favorite actors and I LOVE The Last Wagon passionately. Some of the most gorgeous visuals ever put on film. Delmer Daves had an incredible eye.
