Well, this is really, really bad.

Let's recap what happened. The President of the United States just claimed to be an ally of peaceful protesters, as police used violence against peaceful protesters so they wouldn't be in the President's photo op. And he threatened to deploy the US military to American cities to do the same thing.

He's a coward. He knows knives would be out. He wouldn't be able to navigate that situation at all. He'd melt down.

That photo op was a terrible idea and will back fire spectacularly.

They cleared peaceful protestors with tear gas so that the president could have a siren-seranaded photo op with a bible he did not know how to hold.

Caught in a landslide. No escape from reality

"Peaceful protestors tear gassed for photo op is abhorrent" is one of those no-brainer things I would have thought we could be on the same page about, but I've been wrong in that line of thinking quite a few times in the past. I just don't have any confidence in the country to be able to do that anymore.
