See, it's that "can do!" attitude that's going to get you places.

The Supernatural Enhancements is on sale today for $1.99. It's not a perfect book but the world is very interesting.

no, you're not sure, but whatever. You wont ever know if you don't try. You think she's cute then i think you should at least say hi. Its not like you're propositioning her, you're just beong friendly. which is sure to dispel any thoughts of weirdness she may or may not have. jus sayin

That cover on the Amazon store is terrible. This is the one that I saw in the library that made me go, "I need to read that next".

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Haven't read any Crichton for years, and nothing after Jurassic Park. I remember loving Terminal Man. Are any of his later works really excellent?
I've only read a few. I liked Andromeda and Eaters of the Dead. Some later ones read like bad movie scripts (Prey is one).

I've never read Jurassic Park. It's probably ruined for me because of the movie.

Jurassic Park 2 was the worst because it was a pretty good film script but then they tossed the whole thing out the door for the movie.

Eaters of the Dead...something is niggling in my head like I read that back in high school or something. Is that the 13th Warrior book? *checks Wikipedia* oh hey, look at that. Something I haven't though about since I saw it in the theaters.

I just slogged thru Outline by Rachel Cusk. Call me crazy, but I prefer a book to have a plot.

On the non-fiction -side, I am reading Big Fat Surprise by Nina Teicholz. Looking for a way to justify bacon mostly. :li:

Just finished this and am an emotional wreck after it. Fitz and nighteyes and the Fool are some of my favourite characters ever and I love the Farseer/assassin books deeply. Such a perfect ending to their story. I'm crushed though.
