Stannis was a tragic character compelled by a sense of duty, failed at that a few times and became desperate because of those failures. and what was the whole point of stannis if all they end up doing with him is destroying his army, his family and his character altogether?

I get that people get bummed when main characters bite the dust, and yeah sometimes it really sucks, but they do a great job of adjusting the narrative to make me pro- or anti- new characters as certain events happen.
That's what got everyone hooked in the first place when Ned got hacked. I'm surprised people are citing it as a problem with the show now.
