Meh, now they're just killing people for shock value and to keep people watching.

I'm ready for a Negan and Judith spinoff

My dvr cut off after an hour so I'm guessing I missed a bloodbath.
I've set it up for the overnight replay & see it's nearly a 90 minute episode.

*Watched it earlier this morning. Wow, not what I was expecting. One of the genuinely sad moments in the show and more shocking than the prolonged introduction to Neagan.
Next week's episode in the snow looks great, at least from a visual stand point. Seems like it has been perpetually summer-y on show since the beginning.

Different people on fence, but true to comic. This is the first mega moment of the comic that the show didn’t fuck up. A+

I’m surprised by Tara dying. Hilltop lost Maggie, Jesus, and Tara as leaders. I wonder if Hilltop will fizzle away.

It would have been cool if Alpha’s horde was in the quarry. They spent so much effort getting the walkers in there back in season 5(?), it would have been quite ironic that they would have been used against the groups many years later.

Unless, of course, Magda, Yumiko, and Connie receive an expanded role which keeps Hilltop relevant.

Yup. Her initial contract was for just 3 episodes. Funny how things work out.

Yeah, that one was a surprise. Enid too. I figured Henry would bite it eventually but not this soon. Carol's reaction, with Darryl trying to shield her, struck me as extremely saddening. I know there's one character from the comics that was killed a while back and we've come to expect a major death at the midseason/season break but this was bigger than I expected.
My dvr cut off during the commercial break right after Alpha slid up to Lydia in the theater. Seemed like a natural end to the episode and just happened to some social media comments before bed.
I am looking forward to the finale a lot more than I would have thought.

This season has been really good compared to the All Out War angle.

Rumors out there that in the finale, Eugene finally gets that radio working and hears a voice on the other end...

I figured Daryl would take over Hiltop and kick it with the deaf girl.

I don’t think it was Maggie or Ann / Jadis.

I noticed that, but they made absolutely no mention of it. Were they burned by the Saviors 6 years earlier?

Ezekiel actually mentioned it in the first few mins during his narration sequence.

Whoops. I missed that. It still felt very rushed. They should have starting setting that up a bit throughout the past few episodes.
