Had Xi'an Famous Foods the other day for the first time in close to three years. It's still the best food in NYC. Fuck! I love it so much.

Starting to resent that everything made for lunch at work has surprise spiciness to it these days. Baked Beans should only burn my mouth from temperature, not spice.

I really dislike the obsession with spiciness in food these days. Like you said, not everything needs spice, and not everything with spice needs to be at level 100 for the ‘gram. I enjoy spicy stuff, but It should enhance the flavor, not be the flavor.

Passing through the city this evening, and I originally thought I might venture out to one of these. I haven't had it before. Alas, I shall not. Just gonna sit here in the nice shiny new train station and eat this falafel sandwich. It's good, though, I put a bunch of jalapenos and jalapeno sauce on it
