My homeboys do

They do too
(Lightning bolt!)
With so much drama in the L-B-C / it's kinda hard bein Snoop D-O-double-G

The video is like Sirens, it gets better every time you watch it.

The chorus is the worst part of Lightning Bolt. It could have been a much more interesting song if they went in another direction there.

Yep. It's severely underwritten. But the rhythm of it is really nicely thought out, it's off-kilter over the drums, kind of like "Evacuation". And everything else gets better and better.

as much as I love that song, the chorus is clearly the worst partharmless wrote:Yep. It's severely underwritten. But the rhythm of it is really nicely thought out, it's off-kilter over the drums, kind of like "Evacuation". And everything else gets better and better.

That tiny riff before and during 'you gotta know you'll never let her go' is the best part.

and the solo, and the spacey effects, and the outro, and the entire last double verse.

Re: Lightning Bolt - October 15
I think I like the fact that it's so insignificant; that sort of balances out its weakness. It's almost like a connection between more significant parts, rather than a huge "statement" chorus. Actually, for all that a few of these songs sound "anthemic", none of them really have significant huge choruses except for possibly Getaway.stip wrote:as much as I love that song, the chorus is clearly the worst partharmless wrote:Yep. That bit didn't sound good at Wrigley at all, but it was because either Stone wasn't playing his second part, or we couldn't hear it. But it really beefs up the part, that riff.stupidmop wrote:That tiny riff before and during 'you gotta know you'll never let her go' is the best part.
