Charlies angels (2019)
It was fun, nothing out of the ordinary but fun. Kristen Stewart was good.
Unsane
Yeah wtf was that? It was shot on iphone 7 and looked so awful. At least soderbergh made a better iphone movie later

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Aliens was good but I think I like the first one better. I prefer the small scale horror to the big action spectacle.

I'm hesitant to watch the theatrical cut after LV's comments. I need to get my hands on the Assembly Cut. Have you seen both versions?durdencommatyler wrote:I have a good feeling about your reaction to Alien 3.Farmer John wrote:Aliens was good but I think I like the first one better. The theatrical cut is still good. Just a big, compromised step down.
(Also the Aliens Special Edition is way better than the theatrical version.)

Have you watched the FUBAR films?LoathedVermin72 wrote:Aww that’s a bummer, I also really like Goon but I haven’t watched the sequel
They're both good but the second one is much better than the first because it's wackier, and closer to Goon in style and spirit

I'm just going to take the plunge with the theatrical cut since it's right there in front of me.durdencommatyler wrote:Actually, sorry, I was just reading about the differences in the two and I've seen Assembly.
There's also a making of documentary "Memory: The Origins of Alien" which I'm definitely going to watch.

I think you'll still get a lot out of the theatrical cut plus you can look forward to the Assembly Cut/Special Edition later on with some background.Farmer John wrote:I'm just going to take the plunge with the theatrical cut since it's right there in front of me.durdencommatyler wrote:Actually, sorry, I was just reading about the differences in the two and I've seen Assembly.

And thanks for the reminder on the documentary, I read about it a while ago and completely forgot about it.

Re: What movies are you watching?
This one is tough for me but yeah Alien is superior. Still, Aliens is so fucking good and the best thing about it is that its a different beast. The same qith Alien 3, even though its has similar aspects than the first one.Farmer John wrote:Aliens was good but I think I like the first one better. Man, i grabbing my Alien Quadrology box set soon.

The Way Back.
Stunning photography, Ben Affleck was amazing, and the movie is somber but cool. I liked the ending. It was alright.

LOVED Alien 3. So bleak and depressing.
The first one is still the best.
