I actually like the music more than you, I just wanted to try and replicate the piano part in text. It's all writing practise.

I thought you were using Beethoven's ominous melody before revealing something truly horrific to the board.

edit: oops, not enough "DA's"

I just imagined Boom doing that part in a minor key by accident :haha:

For me it's all Eds fault. If I don't enjoy vocals in a song (not talking about the lyrics) it won't do much for me.

Ed's lyrics / vocals are the biggest issue in latter Pearl Jam imo. And I don't mean sounding scratchy or old. It has nothing to do with cigarettes and acohol, and more to do with the fact that often, he seems to have forgotten how to write, or pronounce words.

Oh, he did a fine job on Backspacer. Not as good as in earlier albums but I still enjoy his singing. It's just something about his singing on Cold Confession that irks me.

But I agree about the pronounciation, especially live.

Really? Enunciation and stuff? I didn't know that. I mean, obviously when you're drunk you slur, but beyond that...?

I don't mind when he sounds like a redneck (is he one?), it's kind of all part of the shtick, but the "Yes I understeyand that every life must eyand, aw-huh" was a bit much, and so was "moving with the speed of sooooound-UH."

I was being ironic but yeah. A neighbour's relative can't even step on his feet because of the brain damage alcohol caused him. I presume even smoking can cause physical damage that affects pronunciation.

I dunno, i don't hear redneck i hear stupid. Especially since he doesn't usually sound like that. The closest he gets usually the of he goes kinda voice.

If anything has addled eds brain its probably weed. That'd be the forgetting word though, not whatever this is.

Yeah, but again, I just thought the Off He Goes voice was an attempt at a country twang darlin'. But I'm not American so I may be ignorant.
