What's there to really comment on? This could have just as easily happened in the deep south. If I was the mayor of Minneapolis, I'd feel unlucky, not guilty, although he seems like a decent man who is probably wondering what he could have done to mitigate this utter disaster.

And I appreciated talking to you (and many others here) and the support after my heart attack. But I feel exactly the same way about leftists politics as you do about Trump. I cannot in good conscious condone anything about their ideology or general attitude towards reality. I see them as destructive to the very fiber of a healthy society. I didn’t claim it did. I responded to a personal attack by verb, who, based on my race alone, accused me of sitting back, relaxing, and being a pompous fat-cat, when it couldn’t be further from the truth. And he did so in his common condescending fuck you way. He’s wrong, as usual, and obviously a bigoted asshole.

I don't even consider myself a political person. Since I live in Illinois I've never really even concerned myself much with the Presidential elections because I live in an auto blue state. It's just so glaringly obvious to me that Donald Trump threatens to bring us all down. It's right there in the light of day, for everyone to see. Sometimes the behaviors that have been normalized since 2016 can make people numb to it, but for anyone who really examine the destabilization that has taken place, it's there.
