There's a townie bar where I grew up that I only went to recently as some friends moved just down the street form there. I saw a guy I went to grade school with singing karaoke "It's Raining Men" word for word and with a lot of enthusiasm, so much so that it was pretty funny. The next week I saw him do the same thing. The third time I realized how sad it was that this was his one note. Killing Starks is Martin's "It's Raining Men" to some people.

I accidentally read a blog that spoiled the Jon Snow thing. But they still kinda showed their hand with the 'constantly stink eyed' Ollie. I agree we still have characters to root for in Dany, Tyrion (now with Varys!), Sansa (Now with Re/on!), Brienne... not to mention the forgotten (Gendry, Blackfish, Brothers Without Banners... hopefully?) Anyway, I thought this was a great season finale.

Bran has to be a major player in the endgame, no?

It does start to feel formulaic. It's not good that it's expected now. When it happened to Eddard it was great. Now it feels like a gimmick. They need to mix things up a little. At this point it will be shocking if Arya or Tyrian survive another season.

Brienne will bite it soon. She's way too popular.

I still think that Brienne swung that sword the wrong way to execute Stannis. He was against a tree, looking up and to the left at Brienne. She swung right to left. Either she's ruthless and wanted to just slice his throat open, she hits the tree, or she was swinging at something else. Either way, even if Stannis was alive, there's nothing left for him in the world.

are all those wildings still at castle black? tormund was getting kinda tight with jon snow; you'd think he might be motivated to fuck up those crows more than ever.

I think he trusted and respected Jon moreso than any friendship. If anything, Tormund would be suspect that without Jon, his promise of no harm is void.

Are we sure Jon is dead? The Blood woman is mysteriously close by to resurrect him.

I did not expect this reaction to last night's episode at all.

The books can hardly spoil the show anymore. The Greyjoys were left out of season 5 and there the show is lagging behind the books, and one major character is possibly being left out entirely of the show (LSH). All other major characters have reached as far in the show now as in the book series. In some places the show actually spoils the books (Stannis) and in some places they have gone in a different direction (Sansa, but also Selmy/Tyrion).

People aren't citing it as a problem "now". People are just getting fed up with it. And yes - I will watch season 6....

Also, yea, Stannis.....he went out like a fucking chump. At first I loved it because he became detestable recently but this was a huge storyline and his battle.....pfffft. Shit the bed. He gone.

Wasn't the tag line or whatever for season one, "you win or you die"? This isn't elementary school where track and field day is set up so kids compete in groups of three and then everyone is at least bronze. This is fucking king of the hill. Bodies everywhere. One cunt standing until the next siege. Sometimes said cunt is the kid everyone hates while John Snow is in the nurse's office because he hit his head on an ice chunk and Stannis is out because he broke his glasses.

A prediction for Season 6:

Jon's body is missing and the Night's Watch is searching for it. Several episodes later Jon makes a triumphant return (with some serious tummy issues).

Yeah I'm not sure Stannis is dead. They cut away. I'm assuming they'll bring Jon back somehow.
