What I've read:

Spoiler: show: So was Lex Luther being brainwashed this whole time by Darkseid in the movie?

Man I was wonder how 1) Lex got arrested 2) What Lex meant by the bells have rung and 3) Why the painting was even relevant.

I really enjoyed the movie, but man it feels like you need to know a lot about the DC universe before watching the film.

From the Youtube comments:

motherboxes also communicate via repetitive "ding" noises only understandable by the owner. so Lex's crazy "ding ding ding ding ding" scene was a nod to that OMFG CAN'T WAIT

Spoiler: show: the bell was rung I'm thr clip of cyborg. That square thing I'd called a boom tube and is used by darkseid to basically teleport anywhere. It actually makes a "ping" noise or as Lex put it, ding ding ding ding. Pretty cool

This is has now overtaken The Princess Bride as my 13 year old sister's favorite movie.

I haven't seen this movie yet and have been trying to avoid most news about it. All I know is that it's getting bad reviews by movie critics. I'm going to see it tomorrow and am still quite confident I'm going to thoroughly enjoy it.
