I just listened to this in full for the first time in a few weeks, and there isn’t a track I don’t look forward to in at least some way. Everyone sounds great and arguably Ed’s best lyrical outing to date.
The first three tracks remain my favorite moment on the record but it’s all good!

Dance of Clairvoyants is an all time evergreen classic IMO. Man that song is just an unstoppable runaway train. And man, Seven OClock just sinks inside me, love it.

I can’t lie, I am still shocked RM likes a Pearl Jam album.

I think there are a lot of people who consider PJ always delivered.

I for one am glad that this kills the boneheaded "RM is a bunch of jaded ex-fans who hate everything they've made since 2005" narrative

Yup, me too.
Agree 100% and love this album. There was a lot of Pearl Jam negativity here for a while. Glad Gigaton cleared the air.

I'm amazed by the reaction that this album has gotten, because to me it just sounds like a (slightly different) continuation of the crap songwriting on their last 3 albums.
But it does make me happy that PJ is getting some love again.

i feel there were some posters who were really out there in terms of their latest releases but there are a lot of them who loves them, me included. And we have been discussing their music a lot.

I can certainly appreciate that not everyone is going to love this album, but i have a hard time imagining anyone lumping it in with the prior two albums.

It rose from the ashes of the previous two.
It’s a return to form.
Seriously I don’t see how we get this one without the previous two.
Sounds like a natural follow on of both combined with all pjs best elements and some brand spanking new ones.

For me, Gigaton answered the question: "if Pearl Jam released an album that sounded like they cared, that showed a level of inspiration and craft beyond the perfunctory nature of the last decade of their career, would my fandom be reactivated?" The answer, as it turns out, is "not really." The first sign was when everyone here was raving about DOTC and I just felt like... "huh." They do just about everything right on Gigaton, but I think their sound and their overall creative identity just doesn't resonate with me anymore. That's cool, it's not Gigaton's fault, I'm just not really in the market for this type of music right now. I don't see myself revisiting the album beyond "Buckle Up" and "Take the Long Way," both of which are fantastic songs that I genuinely enjoy, and both of which kind of
don't sound like 2020 Pearl Jam. While there is a lot to admire on the rest of Gigaton, I'm totally cool with appreciating it from a distance, and being glad that it makes other people happy. It's as amicable a breakup as you could have.
