Dance of the Clairvoyants has officially cemented itself as a Top 15 PJ song for me. So good.

Initially, Never Destination and Take the Long Way initially was the weak spot in the album. But now I really look forward to hearing them each time now.

I mean there are "weak" spots but that's a relative term. Like the rest of y'all I've come to like all the songs. Even if they are weaker than the others.

I do still think Never Destination is a song I could cut and be fine with. Again, I don't hate it. I think it's a good song. But I think it could be cut and the album wouldn't lose much if anything.

I've really come to love what Buckle Up brings to the album.

It's one of my favorites....loved it from jump.

When I first heard it - I immediately thought it had an 80s vibe to it...almost Huey Lewis (and yes I know that sounds ridiculous...). But it clearly morphs into something different in that mid section.

Gigaton is their best album with Matt Cameron imho.

Matt sounds immense on this album. I love his work on River Cross Just because it’s not a tune I thought drums would feature as well as they do.

Whilst I agree the first 4 songs are the best this album is still solid thru out. As oppose too avocado who has the first 5 songs then it never really recovers.

Alright/Seven Oclock/River across I sometimes love but they also sometimes float thru.

ND is a great it is my wife’s fav. Take the Long Way has Really Grown on me. It’s one I think will sound great live.

I can’t wait to hear all of them live actually. We know DOTC will sound great. Quick Escape will sound epic.

Never Destination

while i agree that Matt sounds great on gigaton, im on the fence with calling it his best album. Both Binaural and Riot Act are masterpieces in terms of his playing, arrangements and sound. Avocado is super interesting but the production hurts his sound. But Gigaton is for sure a top 3 for him.
My least favorite from him is Lightning Bolt and i dont think its matt´s fault but the drums sound horrible. Super thin.

It's helped immensely by its placement on the album. I'm reluctant to call it a palate cleanser, but it's in the perfect spot.

Alright is a top tier song for me. And I agree that it's perfectly planned on the album.

yeah, its placement is perfect. I also love the transition to 7 O Clock.

I hope to hear that transition as a part of 7 o clock live.
