When taken in the context of being a fan of pearl jam, and following Eddie Vedder for 30 years now, on my way is really fucking touching and would be an incredible bookend to his career. Closing Ten off with Release all the way to On My Way.

It's really great and the perfect length.Strat wrote:When taken in the context of being a fan of pearl jam, and following Eddie Vedder for 30 years now, on my way is really fucking touching and would be an incredible bookend to his career. Closing Ten off with Release all the way to On My Way.

thank you, I am!guitar_davey wrote:This is kinda great!Ms Harmless wrote:not to get sentimental on you guys or anything, but I had surgery today (nothing bad, trans-related), and this album was a very pleasant surprise there for me when I woke up; it'll have that association going forward
Hope you're feeling better.

I'm liking Fallout Today way more than I thought I would.
Pearl Jam is the only band I'll spend money on.

Re: Eddie Vedder - Earthling
A nice way to describe it! Personally, I liked Backspacer but it doesn't have the staying power some of the other albums do. You enjoy the songs, then you move on. The more meat in some of these songs would probably help Earthling out in that regard but I guess it's too early to say.Got Some wrote:It’s like backspace but has a bit more meat to it imho

All said and done, I still think the last minute of Brother The Cloud is the best part of this album and would be close to the best part of some PJ albums too. That's how much I like it.

There's a chance this ages poorly, sure. But remember Ole? Today I'm enjoying this and today that's all that matters.

I had no idea that was Ed's dad on the last track. That's really something else.

Chad smith brings so much joy to these songs ans absolutely elevates them. They would die flat with Matt unfortunately
