When taken in the context of being a fan of pearl jam, and following Eddie Vedder for 30 years now, on my way is really fucking touching and would be an incredible bookend to his career. Closing Ten off with Release all the way to On My Way.

It's really great and the perfect length.

It’s like backspace but has a bit more meat to it imho

A nice way to describe it! Personally, I liked Backspacer but it doesn't have the staying power some of the other albums do. You enjoy the songs, then you move on. The more meat in some of these songs would probably help Earthling out in that regard but I guess it's too early to say.

Good and Evil is top shelf, the bridge is stellar

All said and done, I still think the last minute of Brother The Cloud is the best part of this album and would be close to the best part of some PJ albums too. That's how much I like it.

I had no idea that was Ed's dad on the last track. That's really something else.

Chad smith brings so much joy to these songs ans absolutely elevates them. They would die flat with Matt unfortunately
