So who is definitely in the mix for MOP for position players?

Cash, Hornsby, Yaz, Cleveland Shoeless Joe, Sosa, Appling, Bonds...those have got to be the main candidates (that we know of).

For pitchers...Boston Pedro. Is he head and shoulders above everyone else right now? Tiant is lurking, but he was out of the rotation for a while.

I'm clinging to dear life trying to get a playoff spot. I'd have to sit either Shoeless Joe (.344/.399/.468), Albert Belle (.308/.380/.484), or Johnny Mostil (.360/.476/.419) to get Al Simmons in. If I fall out of contention, he'll get some starts. But I can't risk him while I'm still alive.

Well my Rangers are done.

The Royals still have a shot. I need to tinker with my lineups soon.

I can't decide which surprises me more, that the Rangers have just completely fallen apart or that the Royals refuse to.

Also, both Canadian teams are only two games out of the last playoff spot.

BJ Ryan sure picked a terrible time to have his first meltdown. A sweep of the Tigers would have been huge.
