I thought I should inform this board that the "Kat" account is not really Kat from pearljam.com. I've asked that the account be banned.
I went ahead and banned this one for good measure.
Why would you do that?
Tim, you still down for that thing we were talking about? I'll bring Pizza...
Rimjobs all round.

True, it shares the same riff, only with different chords. It's like WWS done the right way. :P
I can hear that. I vastly prefer WWS, but thy is not a knock on getaway

Yeah the "riff" is pretty similar in structure. Noticed it right away but didn't want to have an Offspring conversation.

I can never figure out if I like wws or not. I have never been able to get my head around this song.
Getaway is a 4 star song.

Fun fact: Dave A. wrote 6 songs on Ixnay on the Hombre after leaving Pearl Jam.

One of them is a "Fixed" Dave's Song.

For me the weak chorus hurts plus Ed can rarely nail the chorus live. This has probably left a bad taste in my mouth re: that song.

I remember the snl performance of wws. It was awful and Ed really struggled through that chorus.

Yeah, I think I will. It'll take me a little longer because, well, it's a longer record. And I might talk more about the concept and maybe how the rhythm contributes (if it does) because I think the album will be more of a whole piece than Backspacer was.

Ahhh nice to see Dave working the classic Grunge bob hair cut. It was standard issue in my high school during 94-95 when you couldn't grow full length grunge hair.

What is this "think" and "might" shit? At this stage, you should be gathering your thoughts in outline form and have section 1a) On The Use of Ride Cymbal in almost final shape.

I have some thoughts solidified on the songs we have, even if they're just internal at the moment.

WWS for me was a song that could have been so much more. I like the vocal melody and the lyrics alot. I always hear this song and have played it in a Mad World way. I wish Ed would have sang this really slow like CC with maybe a Uke for Jeff and had Jeff and Mike write the music for it. Maybe like a minor Present Tense. All hope is lost kinda thing and open the album with that then Comatose,Severed Hand that would have been great

So basically you like the song you just wish it was completely different.
