are you guys just insanely disorganized when it comes to stocking the cupboards, or is it on purpose so you can get out of the house for a bit?

We will be traveling to HEB over the weekend. One of the things missed during the pandemic was the simple joy of letting the toddler ride in the cart. Looking forward to the fun.

This was a good trip, but it felt sort of like social rehab. May have a bit of agoraphobia after the last year.

i have never stepped foot in an aldi. i probably will never step foot in an aldi.
we have a place around here called "pete's fresh market." i love it. it's got your typical groceries, but also half the store is purely international, with a different aisle for a different culture.

The thing about Aldi is it is just about the most efficient grocery store model out there. Super cost effective with house brands that are just as good as what you pay double for at your usual grocery store. Less choice is freeing when it comes to shelf staples.
The thing about Aldi also, however, is that it's terrible for produce and the meat is not much better.
I like to do my veggie and fruit shopping at farmers markets or HEB/Fiesta/H Mart where choice is a plus. Aldi for everything else. At least, this was life before we started doing curbside.
If that sounds inefficient, it definitely is, unless you're like me and consider the different types of grocery shopping as outings rather than duties.
