Great wealth and power is not a negative at all, but it does bring great responsibility, especially for an elected politician. If you misuse that, then you should be called out on it, even by other rich or powerful people.

These lyrics seem incredibly tame for a blundering demagogue of Trump's level

I am not so sure why Ed is so pissed. He doesn't articulate late at at least in Bushleager, WWS, Marker WMA his lyrics tells what is wrong. This feels put on. I guess he doesn't like Trump cause he is rich. I don't know it is weird. I am Eddie Vedder and I am supposed to rage against Trump so I will. All this as Trump is trying to make dent in gun violence and bring jobs back. All this while being a jerk. Where was angry Ed when Obama had the house and the Senate and got nothing on guns done ,and violence spun out of control in the inter citys. My health care insurance as tripled in the last 8 years. Oh Obama isn't a jerk he was a incompetent nice guy.
So Ed does not like jerks I get it but then how do you explain his relationships with jerks Penn, Depp, and yes Stone.
I think MYM is great cause he pissed at everyone it isn't pointed much more effective.

Especially when said wealth is built on corruption and unethical (if not completely illegal) practices.

Trump won cause he is good at being a demagogue. Sanders lost cause we wasn't good at being a demagogue. Hilary pretended not to be one , but is so many saw through that. I can't think of a politician that isn't .
By definition this song is a blundering demagogue.

People seem really fixated on the wealth aspect of this. The song seems to be about more than just "Trump is rich, grrrrr."

On some level I wish him success on on the some of the agenda he speaks. I think he is a true outsider of the Washington establishment, which is fantastic from a historical point of view. I do not think he dangerous as so much is made of. I did not support his campaign or vote for him.

I like the direct lyrics here as opposed to the over the top and somewhat snobbish ones of Bushleaguer. This wasn't meant to be a cryptic message so I have no problem with the lyrics as they are. Love the way they're delivered and also like the groove in this song.

This is a pretty good song. If this is indicative of album #11, I'm totally down.
