Yeah that was really good. Still an uneven season but that felt like it could be the end of the series. Interested to see where they go from here

Wow!

In hindsight, this season definitely felt somewhat divorced from the previous seasons tone-wise but man oh man was it some compelling television. Really impressive stuff. Give Emmys to everyone.

I felt that the problem with this season became more apparent in the later episodes, which felt like they were meandering a bit too much. But yeah, the commitment to character has always been what set this show apart, and they really pulled it out in the end. That scene with Sally was gutting.

tragabigzanda wrote:It was really those first three episodes that felt jarring. I wish they had finessed the transition to darker stuff a bit better. But everything after that was aces, definitely more dark than funny but also more believable from a plotting/character development standpoint.

I have no idea where they go from here!
Yeah, the biggest problem I’ve got is no longer having any vested interest in rooting for Barry. He’s a piece of shit. That’s ultimately a plot choice I can live with when the execution of every single other facet of the show is so outstanding.

Fuches and Barry warring in prison. Or maybe they reconcile and Barry becomes Fuchs’ prison enforcer. A breakout engineered by Hank and Cristobal. I wouldn’t put it past them to keep Barry in prison all season.

I was tired last night and totally confused by that scene (but also riveted). I thought Cristobal was in the adjacent cell and it was going to turn out that Hank killed him with that spray of gunfire.

The payoff on the sound booth bit was so funny.

I'm glad others shared my disjointed feelings from this season bc I was feeling confused. I loved it, but maybe the 30 minute format stifledthings a bit? I dunno. The acting is so good. Hank is possibly my favorite character in a long while (I'm still all hearts for you, Bunk).

I feel like from here:

Gene might have some mixed feelings and visit Barry in prison. Which would be perfectly awkward-funny.

Fuches will either take the fall and Barry cooperates to unearth all his victims with his military friend helping get him a shorter sentence; Or Fuches will try to cooperate first and Barry will go along to keep Sally safe. But she'll crack under the stress and reveal herself F'ing up everything.

Fourth and final season starts up April 16 with two episodes. Was thinking about dropping HBO but won’t yet.
