Oh, I like him a lot as a character. And De Lancie is great. But if I were on the Enterprise crew, I would fucking hate even hearing the shithead's name.
Also all the Borg stuff happened because he wanted to make a fucking point.durdencommatyler wrote:I don't know, man. Given that first impression, I get it. There is a school of thought that he did that to give humanity a chance to get prepared for the Borg since they were already aware of the Federation. Didn't he tell Picard that exact thing?!?!?bada wrote:There is a school of thought that he did that to give humanity a chance to get prepared for the Borg since they were already aware of the Federation. The idea that the Borg were already aware of humanity came later. Like McP said Q was trying to make a point but I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt that it was part of a grander more benevolent scheme.wease wrote:Didn't he tell Picard that exact thing?!?!?bada wrote:There is a school of thought that he did that to give humanity a chance to get prepared for the Borg since they were already aware of the Federation. Q started out almost from the beginning telling Picard "you don't know what's out there. " Then he sent the Enterprise to the Borg and made them aware of humans and he told Picard "now they're aware of you, so they'll be coming for you. Get ready." So it looks to me like he wanted humanity to do something to ready themselves for the Borg.bada wrote:The idea that the Borg were already aware of humanity came later. Is it the character or the actress you don't like?BurtReynolds wrote:oh God, Troi's mom is on DS9 too? kill me.
Heh, well being Gene Roddenberry's wife will get you places in all things Trek. She's the voice of all the ships computers too.BurtReynolds wrote:oh God, Troi's mom is on DS9 too? kill me.
Most obnoxious character ever. And she's paired with Odo, who kinda sucks too. But I guess she hides him in her vagina at one point, so that was kinda neat.wease wrote:Is it the character or the actress you don't like?BurtReynolds wrote:oh God, Troi's mom is on DS9 too? kill me.
I never doubted that.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I love Odo
