So he's getting the ol' Bobby Bowden treatment, eh?

I was just thinking that Spurrier was getting up there in age and that he might not coach much longer. Definitely didn't expect anything this abrupt, though. Have to think SCar could return to down times again pretty soon.

Yeah most people thought he would be gone after this year. He was sticking around to try and get his son paid. Might be rough for SC for a couple of years with Clemson on the up.

Florida and Tennessee are on the up too, and Georgia doesn't look like it's going down. Mizzou's still got Pinkel. Could be rough times again in the SEC East.

Definitely. I just mentioned Clemson because they'll get all the good in-state recruits.

Yeah, I still don't get how that team embarrassed the Chiefs at Arrowhead and then went 1-14 the rest of that season.

I can't believe you stole my thunder. After all we've been through over the last decade of Detroit futility . . .

How pathetic is it that the lone bright spot of the Lions season through 8 games is the twitter chatter among writers and fans following mass firings?

I'm sorry. :( I'll be sure to leave the Caldwell pic to you when that inevitable day comes.
