I've been thinking about sichuan food ever since I recommended west lake soup to LV a few days ago and I remember one restaurant in the area having an okra dish that I've never tried, but now I can't find it online. Shit.

I’m not sure about okra outside of the fried context. I got an oxtail okra stew at an African restaurant a while ago and it was really weird.

Fried isn't even my favorite way to eat okra, but I can appreciate that the taste for it might be more of a regional familiarity thing than anything else. It is considered a comfort food, after all.
