i don't recall this. do you have an example?
Nope. Upon further reflection I was wrong. Ed used to utilize some sort of echo thing into the mic in 1998 for some of the daughter tags and noises he used to make. I conflated that here. Sorry

So some nice different Matt parts. Most notable during Daughter breakdown beat he was hitting some tambo or a splash after hi hat hit, sounded cool.

Didn't do some typical stuff like that snare roll with the rim shot in given to fly.

Felt like songs were slower..back to how they should be.

Ed sounded pretty good.

Some cool new beats in Even Flow and Porch jams most because of his new kit layout.

The long way sounded horrible, the other songs are okay. Great solo in Quick Escape.

Is brisk our lone RMpresentative at the show tonight?

I like hearing that the tempos are better (slower).

I didn’t watch any of it…

Did Ed blab on and on or did they just … play?

I gather he didn’t waste much time talking between songs?

He talked a lot, too much. Probably could have heard Get Right about 6 times instead.

Funny no one mentioned that. Classic Ed.

In Seven O'Clock he changed the lyric to "fucking President." I thought he might go for "former."

Just watched DOTC and 7 oclock on youtube and holy shit they sounded fucking great. Nights like this that makes it fun as shit to still be a full-on Jamily bro. Hope everyone got as much enjoyment as I did. :peace:

I want to see some good videos from the show. I watched a Dance video that was poopy. I’d love to see the other Gigaton songs.

Shocked that Ed is not playing the Who crazy rhythm on Superblood. It's like David Matthews giving up his part on Warehouse (shout out username Warehouse). Fun shit that should have happened a year or so ago with me and Strat and Monkey Driven (right?) and some others jumping up and down like pogo ball is what they call it.

Not to be a dick cuz he's done a lot of great shit in PJ-dom but is there a bigger turn off than Danny Clinch on harmonica?

Not as big of a Take The Long Way guy as some but the live version ruled pretty hard. It's funny how you can hear MC giving more of a shit when it's his song.

I think someone earlier in the thread asked why they're still playing Elderly Woman and I'd just like to say with respect that it's because it's amongst not only the waves but also their finest hour as a god damn band and I hope they never stop playing it. Name five other hard rock bands that could come up with something so tender and personal and universal and etc etc.

GTF of course is transcendent but I will still take this opportunity to say that Jack Irons should tap in during this song while MC drinks a Heineken or something.

They should probably stop playing Betterman for a while. I'm not against most in the canon, but holy cannoli could this one use a break. When you're only looking forward to the potential tag on a song it's time to hit the showers. I'd much rather hear Daughter at this point.

There is no drive to the song anymore. It's a chance to take a song off for the band, and that's unfortunate. Play a Gigaton song with fury, instead.
