I didn't care for it at first but I've now caught it stuck in my head more than once. I think it's the Duran Duran melody rip though.

Still... better than first glance.

I’d love to hear about how this one was made. It really feels like 3 songs. The first part I’m lukewarm about, but once that chorus hits I’m all in for the rest. It feels like a journey. Beautiful song.

They actually explained it in one of the articles...something like the band had some interesting pieces laying around and Josh and Ed went in the studio and made a song out of them

I'm generally not a fan of the hee heees either but even by Ed's standards this is probably the "best" hee heee that he's done in the 2000s.

I hear a little Sirens in this. I really don’t like Sirens. But I really like this one. More and more with each listen. This album is well thought out.

The beginning of this song reminds me of a war on drugs type of song.

And holy fucking shit i love this song so much.

it's fucking beautiful

and even though it wanders a bit for me in the middle, I adore the outro of "so much to be done (much to be!)" so, so, so much

"Moved on from my despondency and left it in the bed. Do I leave it there still sleeping or still kill it better yet? For this is not time for depression or self-indulgent hesitance. This fucked up situation calls for all hands on deck. ”

Fucking. perfect.

Yes the lyrics here make a big difference in the overall texture of the song. Really love the first 1.5 verses. Been waiting for them to get posted. Nice album review, by the way!

It's subtle but I love the cadence with how he says "Moooved on". I wish it happened a 2nd time during the song too.
