Isn't there a way we can protest using Zoom?

I don't know how the optics of trying to storm the fences around the whitehouse are supposed to look, but it looks like a bunch of Canadians hell bent on arson to me.

They did it once, and by golly they'll do it again.

Given all the mixed messaging bootlickers like the surgeon general spouted out about masks early on I don't expect people putting on a massive display of civil disobedience to be obedient when it comes to mask wearing, either.

Jeebus, my boomer dad was trying to defend the mask thing as a noble lie. I don't recall him saying that in March, so he must've gotten hyped to the marching orders more recently.

I'm with you on this verb. Our priorities are fucked up and it doesn't make sense.

I get that the situation has warranted action, and I appreciate that the US in particular has been a powder keg brewing for some time, but jesus christ, at what point do you stop and say "point made, let's pay a little more attention to the old pandemic".

People know this is huge and shit needs doing and changing but big gatherings are crazy at this point, if avoidable.

Yeah I was watching Roberts Evans' live stream from Portland last night and most had them. But then again, Portland has been gassing the crowds each night. It's also not super hot in Portland. I just don't believe people have the discipline to fully implement masking, basically.

I went to my local grocery store yesterday and noticed the store was no longer requiring them and a lot of shoppers didn't have them.

They're just going to brick in each other's mouths and piss on each others faces to dilute the tear gas.

Wow, what a surprise.

https://www.businessinsider.com/fbi-no- ... sts-2020-6
The FBI has collected no intelligence indicating that "antifa" was involved in violence over the weekend related to protests over the death of George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man who died on May 25 after a white police officer in Minneapolis knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes, The Nation reported.
But the FBI's report did warn that people associated with a far-right social-media group had "called for far-right provocateurs to attack federal agents" and "use automatic weapons against protesters."

...

Politico also reported on Monday that a Department of Homeland Security intelligence note warned law-enforcement officials that a white supremacist channel on the encrypted messaging app Telegram encouraged its followers to incite violence to start a race war during the protests.

Citing the FBI, it said that two days after Floyd's death, the channel "incited followers to engage in violence and start the 'boogaloo' — a term used by some violent extremists to refer to the start of a second Civil War — by shooting in a crowd."

One of the messages in the channel called for potential shooters to "frame the crowd around you" for the violence, the note said, according to Politico.

On May 29, the note said, "suspected anarchist extremists and militia extremists allegedly planned to storm and burn the Minnesota State Capitol."

NBC News also reported on Monday that Twitter had identified a group posing as an "antifa" organization calling for violence in the protests as actually being linked to the white supremacist group Identity Evropa.

Twitter suspended the account, @ANTIFA_US, after it posted a tweet that incited violence. A company spokesperson also told NBC News that the account violated Twitter's rules against platform manipulation and spam.

Philly protest today was huge. Very calm, a real mix of far-left groups like PSL and libs/Dems.

List serv? Any real white nationalist is on Discord, and they don't need the FBI to infiltrate them because left activists do it for free. And even though every single transcript is leaked, the white nationalists just keep using Discord. They are not very smart, nor very effective.
