PJ Worktape 02.10.1993
Added Trilly Dilly Ballad (Unknown Take).flac .This is an early attempt at Hard To Imagine from the Vs. sessions. Ed is trying to come up with vocal melodies. He's got all the stuff at the end figured out, but the verses are a little rough still.

Pusherman / Crazy Mary
Added Victoria Williams's Crazy Mary demo.

Made the following organizational/format changes:

Moved the Crazy Mary demo to a folder called [Unlabeled Cassette] based on mfc17's comments.

Updated 09. Policeman (February 11 1993) (W.M.A.) from PJ Stuffins Pre Record I to .flac format.

Comments for mfc17:

The two versions of Angel that are still uncategorized are an acoustic/hand drum version lasting 2:33, and a solo acoustic version lasting 2:45. I realize those are both within spitting distance of the track lengths you posted (2:29 and 2:50), but everything else has been down to the minute with what's listed on the collectionzz site, so I'd still love to get more explicit confirmation once you've had a chance to listen.

The two versions of Policeman/WMA that are uncategorized have lengths of 4:40 and 5:45. I see that you listed the version from 2/11/93 as being 5:45, but this track came to me labeled as "09. Policeman," which would suggest it's from the 4/9/93 tape. And then I see you've got another version listed as Policeman (W.M.A.) (Take 2) with a length of 4:47 in the spreadsheet pic you posted, which I'm inclined to think is the same as Policeman (W.M.A.) Demo 2 which is sitting in the Unsorted folder, but that has a length of 4:40, and I'd prefer to be certain before I move it over.
Dave Stuff Angel - confirmed

In regard to WMA - i dont yet have access to that folder but can tell you that the 4/9/93 version is essentially the finished version with clear lyrics. If the one you have is different. If you say that it has a length of 4:40, i would think its the version from PJ Stuffins Pre Record 1 (listed as 4:39), which also happens to be the same version as the one included on 2/11/93 tape (which has a listed length of 4:47). I know it gets confusing.

Like I said before, there are only two versions of Policeman/WMA in the folder. You need to get rid of the redundant mp3 versions, because those are lossy YouTube rips and we now have both versions in lossless.
Same for Angel, there are three versions of it. Two are the instrumentals from the Dave's Stuff tape. The other one is from this tape (https://www.collectionzz.com/Cockage/pe ... p-tortured) and now we have a lossless version of it provided by mfc17 so no need anymore of the YouTube rip.
About this "Added Instrumental #2.mp3 to Side A. This is a fun bluesy jam between Dave, Jeff, and Stone(?)" I have some doubts. First, there are two "Instrumental #2" on the Stuffins/Stuffings tape, how can you know it's track 5 Side A and not track 6 from Side B? Anyway, if you check back the Mega folder I sent you, it's been updated too and includes everything we have so far, with all useless lossy sources removed.

Instrumental #2 - kinda cool. sounds a little like Garden in the beginning.

Betterman - Dave A does a clacky metronome beat in the first verse to this, same as in the Fox Theater show, and it's one of the rare cases where I dislike Dave's approach. I think BOB did right on the album cut with no drums in the first verse. No dis to Dave A. Love the man. Outside of that: love the sound of this. Back half sounds like a mic in a room at a party - Ed in the corner singing his heart out.

Trilly Dilly - H2I is probably in my top 10 PJ tracks, maybe top 5 - and at this point, hearing this, and thinking about all these tracks in their totality, all these instrumentals and demos - this era, what a time for this band. I mean like, wow man. Far out. Pretty much every track is special. So much depth. what a cool recording. love that part with about 1:17 left where they take it down a notch lower...and from that point for the next 30 seconds it's stone? harmonizing (with a helluva falsetto) with ed... deep. life, man. life.

Me too! Now just dreaming of hearing the “slow, potent version” of Leash as reported by Cameron Crowe in Rolling Stone’s article of few years ago.
Am i wrong or this version can be found in the cassette labelled 3-4-93?

That studio rendition sounds super similar to how they played the song in 1992.
