These guys have so much talent and creativity. It’s so evident in the new music. I’ll always be dumbfounded as to how they released Avocado, Backspacer and Lightning Bolt sounding the way they do. Backspacer is my least favorite of the three and that one actually probably makes the most sense sound-wise. I just don’t like the collection of songs. Avocado’s songs are mostly good, but the production is just trash. I have no idea how they could have felt happy with that sound before release. And LB is a polished turd, stripped and devoid of anything remotely interesting.

All the new music is lush, and gritty, and dynamic. Ed sounds the best he has in forever. Each musician stands out and shines. It’s like the soul of the band returned after a long hiatus. Thank you, Donald Trump.

I would never dream of asking for a link. I just wanted to share that I'm intrigued by the descriptions of this song and look forward to someday listening to it.

I think Ed sounds near 2002 or Let It Ride than anything post Avocado. UK is a fine example of his singing from BS to LB.
He is doing something different also by trying to mimic Matt´s own way of singing at first.

I like this song better than anything on Gigaton, bar Dance of the Clairvoyants.

Makes me wonder what other gems "didn't fit" the record and are sitting on the shelf.
