To enforce masks at a minimum.

If you want money, put an adult with a minimum of training up there, and pay them a premium for the risk.

You're not so stupid as to think that's what I'm suggesting.

You're probably suggesting those bougie personal igloo type things with their own personal space heater. If you think the government should pay for those so some absolute horror of a couple can dine out I would tend to disagree.

Here's an idea. If you are at risk, don't go out to eat. If you feel like you can assume the risk and patronize a business, go for it.

Is soap some new revolutionary thing that restaurants only had to be mindful of post covid clown world?

Maybe Reid should weigh in on the effectiveness of having mask gestapo posted up at the door? Doesn't seem like the kind of vibe you want to present your customers with as a first impression. Can't we assume that most people would be able to read a sign at the door saying "please wear a mask to enter"?

What's different about it in this context? The same thing your cook did pre covid (wash hands) is the same thing he should be doing post covid (with cotton face diaper).

because going out to eat means being maskless indoors with other people maskless indoors, and that's how this spreads. nine months in and you're still trying negotiate with a virus.

It's spreading no matter what. If some 25 year old wants to go eat a burger I could honestly care less.

If the government or public health weirdos want to do something to help they should roll out the vaccine as fast as humanly possible.

Here in MT, a better use of funding would be more employees at the county health departments to monitor/instruct businesses on compliance.

"Send people home if sick"

"Wear mask"

The government did dump a bunch of money into vaccine development, which is the only thing that will release us from purgatory, although a lot of the NEW STRAIN and SOCIAL DISTANCE AFTER VACCINATION talk has me a little skeptical anything will be good enough.

You're out of touch with reality if you think test and trace is the answer. It's been a fucking year of this shit spreading.

So what do you want to do? Build a time machine? Will our pooled $600 checks cover that project?
