Because if true it's a mark of delegitimization against his Presidency?

House GOP guts ethics panel
House Republicans voted 119-74 Monday night in favor of a proposal that would gut Congress' outside ethics watchdog and remove its independence.
House Speaker Paul Ryan and other top GOP leaders opposed the change to ethics rules, but rank-and-file members disregarded their views and voted to approve the new structure for ethics reviews going forward, according to a senior House GOP leadership source familiar with the closed door discussion.

CIA is right about the source
Trump could believe Wikileaks when they say they didnt get it from the Russians given the sites history
Wiki could be unaware of the real source because Russia has highly capable intel officers
All three of these can be true without some nut job conspiracy being behind it

Trump has an unattainable need to be accepted and admired. The reality of the Russian hack interrupts his ultimate attainment of that. He is also just about the least literate/knowledgable human being on earth. His refusal to admit obvious reality here is far less upsetting than that of most of the rest of the Republican Party.

well, one of his catch phrases was 'Moscow First', so his defensive posture on this whole thing is understandable

Seriously, why does this not outrage people regardless of party?

Cause when it's not done to 'your side', it's acceptable. You see the same thing in the arguments over the hacking. Republicans aren't pushing the issue by and large because it didn't happen to them. It's just how our brains work; our policies follow the party we belong to, rather than the other way around.

WASHINGTON — President-elect Donald Trump criticized House Republicans Tuesday for voting to gut the independent Office of Congressional Ethics, arguing that tax reform and health care should be higher priorities.
"With all that Congress has to work on, do they really have to make the weakening of the Independent Ethics Watchdog, as unfair as it may be, their number one act and priority," Trump asked over Twitter the morning after the surprise and secretive move by the House GOP.
"Focus on tax reform, healthcare and so many other things of far greater importance!" he added.

Good for him, I'm glad to hear him say this even with his "unfair" comment. Would love to see some examples cited by these lawmakers about these so-called unfair investigations.

I'm sure it's just a list of Republicans who have been investigated by the office.

FTFY. This behavior is pretty universal.

There are probably millions of registered democrats/liberal-identified voters who are angry at Hillary and the DNC. I don't think this behavior is very common if you're a self-aware person capable of self-examination and reflection. LV's shorthand response was sufficient, though.
True, but I meant outside of politics as well. It's a core tenet of our natural tribalism; we are all far less sympathetic when bad things happen to the "other".

With that in mind, we have Donald Trump as president.
