like i said last night, fun show. this venue and setup is just really cool to watch a show at, and the band definitely appears to be having fun and appreciative of the opportunity to play some shows finally. i love low light but it has never clicked for me as a show opener. the gigaton songs have all sounded pret-ty pret-ty good for the most part and i’d imagine will only get better on tour. never destination and who ever said were near the top of my gigaton wantlist so it was good to hear these here. buckle up was a nice surprise for me- i figured of any of the new album songs that might be skipped this weekend it would be that one. i’d think take the long way has a good chance to show up tonight since it was played at shn, so i guess we’ll see if comes then goes is the odd man out in this festival run. personal highlights of the show for me beyond that were garden (they nailed it), rvm and nothingman. i don’t even know what to think of sweet lew appearing here. ed seemed to indicate that all of the band’s families were in attendance, a rarity for that to happen, so maybe jeff’s family just wanted to see him sing or something. i can’t imagine anyone had that on their bingo card for this weekend. overall, though, i have no complaints about these setlists so far, they’ve been a lot of fun.

looking forward to tonight. no real expectations from me, i’m just glad i got to be here for this festival. i really missed live music and with bonnaroo getting canceled last minute, this ended up being my only opportunity to get my festival fix this year.
