You don’t think they were already voting Matt?
Thinking back, it probably would have gone the same way. I still think it was a weird advantage for the winning team

Finale tonight! I definitely won’t watch until Thursday night, so I’ll avoid this thread until then. I am, admittedly, very bad at guessing winners, but I think that we’re now in the 4th post-40 season, a few things are clear:

Yam Yam is doomed. It was way too clear that he controlled last week’s vote, and he’s played such a great game so far, and in 41-43, those players are always getting picked off. Players will never let a Tony-esque player into the final tribal again. If he doesn’t win immunity at 5, he has to be gone, and if he makes it to 4, he’s building fire.

Assuming Yam Yam is gone, my heart is rooting for Carolyn, because I’ve got love for an underdog who has sneakily played pretty well, but I think she has a tough path. If the final 4 is Carolyn, Carson, Lauren, and Heidi, UNLESS the final challenge is puzzle-heavy, I think Lauren and Heidi have to be favored, and if one of them wins, they will throw both Carolyn and Carson into fire. That will make both of them look bad, no matter which of them stays alive, so my pick for a winner is going to officially be Heidi.

A Tika will win. It's just a matter of who makes it to the Final 3. Heidi or Lauren winning would be pretty disappointing given how little they've done the entire season.

Lauren has definitely been a nothing burger all season, but I think Heidi has been strategic and social the whole way; she hasn’t been on the inside of every vote, but it seems like she’s always known where the wind’s blowing. If Carson is the Tula that makes the final 3, he’d e the youngest ever winner, and I feel like that’s always a strike against people who make the final tribal. Heidi could’ve secured a win if she had rallied people to vote against Yam Yam last week; Jamie’s vote-off seems like one of the dumbest in recent memory.

Although, to be fair, if Carson is the one who breaks up Tika and takes Yam Yam out, he’s going to have a killer resume.

I enjoyed the whole season but I didn't care who would win from the final 3. I think Heidi was a background character most of the time. Props to her taking the risk of building fire.

If I had to pick one, I'd probably lean Carolyn.

I think that if they voted Yam Yam out at 5 (which they should have done), and everything else stays the same (Heidi wins the final immunity, then beats Carson in fire in record breaking time), then it would’ve been much closer. Yam Yam slam dunked that final tribal, if the jury was truly open minded, he could’ve beat many past winners with those answers.

Carolyn won me over through the course of the season. Heidi pretty much did nothing the whole time. I’m never liked Yam Yam but I did really respect him working with Carson that last day building fire.

Team Carolyn.
