Erdogans helping out. That’s unexpected.

That is excellent news.

Also good to see many Russians standing up against the regime, sports stars saying the invasion is wrong. Meanwhile Ukrainian sports stars go home to fight for their lives.

Putin and his regime will forever be war criminals.

I’m with trag. We need to just take Putin out. He’s been a pain in the ass for too long.

He seems very emotional and angry these days, less cool than we have ever seen him before.

Russia's long history of throwing bodies at the enemy until the enemy runs out of ammo has worked surprisingly well for them.

I'm not going to pretend I know anything about anything but its hard not to be impressed by Zelensky's gigantic balls.

It does seem possible that Ukraine could actually win this, or at least bog down Russia for years.

It is shocking. A major super power should be able to role over a country like Ukraine. Now keeping the country against a dedicated insurgency is impossible its just a matter of time before you have to leave we've failed to learn that lesson a bunch of times but the initial action should be pretty easy.

Say Ukraine does successfully repel the invasion, what happens to Putin? Nothing, except the humiliation and humbling of defeat?

If Trump had won, would we be sending in troops to help Russia?

Ukraine's a huge country; it's not going to fall in a week. The real battle will be for Kiev.

Has the US ever felt humiliation and humbled after defeat? Based on what I’ve seen, that’s not how it work. Putin will just spin his own narrative, learn from it and proceed with more dasteredly plans in the future.

Much of the commotion last night was a unit of Russian riot police somehow beating the Russian Army to Kiev. Got wiped out/ captured, but it was not anything well organized or planned.
