It wasn't violent, but the last time I remember a "wait WHAT" moment like this was the La La Land / Moonlight mixup a few years ago

I enjoy a moment of chaos throwing otherwise staid, mannered ceremonies into disarray, so although I think what Will Smith did was bad, it was definitely hilarious in a wtf sort of way

The worst part about this whole thing is that I ended up watching a fair amount of the telecast post-slap. The show is insufferable. They complain about how long it is and then stuff it with hours of bullshit
