To me it felt exploitative to have him up there and they should have redone the primary rather than put him through this. Oz is awful. Just awful. And the 2nd place blue teamer would be just as competitive with Fetterman campaigning for them.

No strike until after the midterms, so no harm, no foul.

We get it, it's never-ever-ever the issues the blues run on, it's
Bush Trump err.... Fox News
Couldnt you just as easily say that as gas prices eased that crime became the top issue amoung their demos and thus directed more coverage? Or that CNN/MSNBC we pretending crime wasn't an issue until it and then stepped up coverage three weeks later when it became clear that it was?
These graphs from that same article seems to indicate they were just talking about what their demo cared about (gas prices in the summer for instance when it was an issue for families all over the nation):
And crime is a top issue just behind the recession:

B_i - you strike me as a very reasonable man and sometimes i think you straddle the fence on things to show you are objective. having said that you cant seriously believe fox news doesnt pick and choose what to report on in order to influence elections

If concern about crime came even a millisecond ahead of the bullshit soft on crime attack ads that play incessantly on my TV and YouTube, I'll be blown away.

I keep seeing Beto ads where they pronounce "Beto" in the thickest Mexican accent possible, as if they can convince anyone that he's not the whitest person to ever exist.

I believe all businesses act in their own interests an it's been clear for decades which side Fox lands on and how effective they are at swaying their viewers. It's not a sudden revelation or conspiracy to sway the election, it's the entire modern media business model to feed their demos news that reinforces their existing biases. All businesses that rely on advertising operate this way. This particular piece is just dredging up a boogeyman to redirect away from the unpopular positions that might cost the blue team the midterms so that they never need to consider if it's them or their platform or party leadership being like 400 years old that is the problem... it's always some conjured devil. They'll stare directly at the sun but never in the mirror.

You don't think the Red Team is dredging up Boogeymen to distract from abortion and their votes against inflation relief?

I think the boogeyman of "urban crime" (and we both know what they mean by that) has been a pillar of their platform since the summer of 2020. This particular piece is about coverage not the issue. Like how the Tucker Carlson's of the world talk about the volume of January 6th coverage on CNN instead of talking about the actual events of January 6th.

Anyone still talking about Jan 6th has no business talking about bogeymen.
