hitting the road in 1 hour...today is easy as its only a 3+ hour drive up the coast..settle in at the hotel and have a nice dinner planned at 6pm..

This is the first time I’ve heard Williamsburg described as gorgeous but I am happy for you lenny. I do highly recommend Busch gardens and water country, two of my favorite theme parks.

The William and Mary campus is very nice too. Good used bookstore there.

7 hour drive to the gross city of redding california today..a hotel and steakhouse await..

will be driving through weed today on our way to grants pass, oregon...short 3 hour drive today to a hotel along the rogue river

todays 4 hour drive brought us to McMinnville Oregon for 2 days...heart of wine country i guess..its in the low 90s for temps and i hate it..the town is nice and there is a great dive bar a block away that serves chicken fried steak for tomorrows breakfast..we have 2 good restaurants planned while here..spent some time at the record store around the corner while my wife bought some books..we hit our destination on friday and will stop for some good fried chicken before we hit the house that we will call home for the next year or so...

I want to start planning a trip to Alaska. I’d like to go next summer. I have no idea where to even begin. Have any of you made the trip?
