my pal and i sat in ADA for the second EV solo chicago show in 2011 after buying the tickets a couple hours before showtime. we didn't think twice about it.

I used to be quite the elitist regarding Pearl Jam, like i was the only fan. I find the more I let go and receive the more enjoyable it all becomes. They are my favorite band, and have been for decades, but these days a lot of the songs...idk it feels like I'm hearing them for the first time, and its really great. It aint life or death anymore...

I am still puzzled by how someone can flat out hate some of their recent stuff. I get not liking it, not thinking it's as good, being disappointed in it - but the same basic elements that are present in all their music is still there. It is recognizable as pearl jam, which should establish a floor somewhere above the hate level (unless you're just using hate as internet shorthand).
