I can see why it's a classic. It holds up extremely well and the last half hour or so is especially good. It would have been bored watching as a kid but I definitely enjoyed it

Holiday Movies

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

What are you favorite holiday movies?
HA2 is verboten because of the cameo halfway through.

Planes Trains & Automobiles is a new favorite of ours. We also watch A Christmas Story because of course we do.

The staples that we watch at least two from each year are....
Love Actually
Die Hard
The Nativity Story
Bad Santa

Now that my girls are getting a little older - there will no doubt be more added to that list

Never seen Bad Santa so I’ll try that one too
Regardless of how you feel about Bad Santa (If you watch it) - Don't bother with the sequel, it's absolute shit!

It's possible we've had this thread before, because I am sure I've posted my hot take about thinking Christmas Vacation isn't good on the board before.

It was in the "Unpopular Movie Opinions" thread (twice, actually--in 2014 and again last year). So carry on with this one.

It center on Thanksgiving, but the holiday feel can stretch the rest of the year, too.
