Explain.
Ok, let's do it another way. Power Play Opportunities per game:Simple Torture wrote:Because if it were actual gametime elapsed (which I doubt it is), then that would answer your question, since they have so many more PP goals than the Bruins.
It's a travesty that Edwards didnt call that game.Simple Torture wrote:If Jack Edwards was calling that game last night, his head would have exploded.
It really is.numbers wrote:It's a travesty that Edwards didnt call that game.Simple Torture wrote:If Jack Edwards was calling that game last night, his head would have exploded.
Not that I would call Mike Milbury a hockey mind you can trust, but he's typically anti-Habs. I thought this was interesting...cutuphalfdead wrote:I don't watch many Montreal games either. I've just seen them diving against us more than we have against them. And not to fall back on the opinions of sports reporters, but enough of the hockey minds that I trust and respect say the discrepancy is there that I assumed that what I see in the isolated sample size of Bruins/Canadiens games plays out as the average.
I tend to side with Felger when it comes to the Bruins.southp wrote:Not that I would call Mike Milbury a hockey mind you can trust, but he's typically anti-Habs. Pretty much this. It makes the NHL look like the joke NBA.numbers wrote:It's not even the powerplays, it's embarrassing for the sport and hinders the growth of the game in this country. The Canucks are another example of this, how is the league supposed to sell their product to a skeptical American public when they see players like Subban and Alex Burrows diving all over the ice like they just got shot when someone checks them. Subban should have gotten a diving penalty after that hit by Thornton, and I'm starting to think diving penalties are not enough. You start giving guys misconducts for diving and maybe they think twice. This isnt just a Bruins fan angry about a loss, Marchand dives all over the place as well and it isnt good for the sport. Montreal is just one of the more egregious violators.
