It's sickening and disrespectful, but the cops explained that the ambulance that was dispatched was delayed at another location. (Plus they probably had to wait for the whole crime tech team before moving the body). CNN has been running a different video of the scene all day, I guess they don't want to air a video where the bystander claims Brown rushed at the cop.

There are a lot of weird rules about bodies. I don't think they can do anything until a coroner shows up. That often takes hours. It's fairly common.

Whether it comes out that the shooting is justified or not, the strong arm military tactics of the police is something that everyone should be riled up about.

putting the "ifs" aside, this portion of your post is the most concerning part. When you consider the initial response, "a few times, but not many more than that," it just seems all that much worse.

oh I totally agree. I'm much more worried about the militarization of the police than some idiot gangbanger, though I'd prefer not to come across either. But the facts surrounding this case are hardly cut and dry. I have a feeling this will all happen again if this ever goes to trial.

I sort of agree with this, though I think in general public outcry at a police killing of an unarmed teenager is natural and useful, important inasmuch as the police force needs to be made aware that excessive force will not be tolerated. In the case of Ferguson, this is symptomatic of a larger problem, and it bubbled over into pandemonium. Regardless, the handling of this has been pathetic. Also, the unsolicited release of the unrelated robbery video. If it does turn out to be completely unrelated (has this been confirmed?) it's hard to perceive that as anything but malicious character assasination. It's gross.

if the police are saying one thing and the witness is saying another it is totally relevant to put out video showing otherwise (the robbery video and the rap songs) that totally go against the whole, my son was an angel and wouldnt hurt a fly. it can definitely show a history of rage and attacking someone as it would be to put out a video of said officer being recorded dropping the Nbomb and accosting a car full of black kids for no good reason

If they have one maybe. I remember bodies would lay in the streets for hours in New Orleans, but then again it is a cesspool of police/government corruption and open gang warfare, so my viewpoint might be a little distorted. I'm sure it varies from state to state.

Yeah, unfortunately in this case, the robbery video does show a willingness to disregard authority and react violently to it. I think it definitely is relevant in that context. Had the robbery video shown him picking something up and running out the door, then no, doesn't matter. But it shows him getting stopped, and immediately using his size as a method of straight intimidation.

The other primary witness, Piaget Crenshaw, said she saw Brown attempt to flee, with his hands in the air, and that the officer shot Brown multiple times as Brown ran away... again contradicted by the family's autopsy. Can any 'new witnesses' be trusted at this point?
