Definitely didnt come out of the gates storming but with the way last season ended, i didnt really mind. There were some nuggets tossed out there to give a sense of where it will all be going and all those nuggets are very intriguing!
Also, I love Herschel. Daryl too. They are the all-time.

So if Daryl does get sick, will we have to watch Low Winter Sun to find out if he lives?

According to the show runner, things are going to go downhill very quickly in the next couple of eps.
Plus 3 characters from the novel are coming into the fold this season!

3 very interesting characters, I won't say anything else, but they should pick up the story based on the showrunner saying season 4 is borrowing some key elements from the comics.

I watched the three (I think there's only three in "The Oath" - last year there was a different series called "Cold Storage" I think - haven't seen them yet).

I've just started on this today. Mad Men didn't quite get me in and I even tried 3 seasons of Battlestar Gallactica but this Walking Dead is really something so far.

I enjoyed this episode a lot with one exception - Carol thinking it would be a good idea for young girls to put out their dad. Come the fuck on. Otherwise, though, I liked the close proximity shit, and it was a great way to cut dead weight. Also really liked the zombie's face coming apart on the fence with the crowd push. Good times. Can we leave the prison soon?

She reminds me of Cousin Eddie's daughter in National Lampoon's Vacation.

Haven't started watching season 4 yet, I figure I'll wait til it's all aired and if my friends tell me it's shit then I won't bother. The show was really starting to test my patience.

Attempted to watch season premiere and fell asleep quickly. There were two moments in the first 5 minutes that made me roll my eyes
Rick listening to headphones......... how is this device being charged? I was under the impression there's a zombie apocalypse occurring.
Then when Carl comes down and joins Rick, he hesitates and won't mention that the pig will be killed for food, like he can't possibly come to terms with it's loss. This is the same kid who shot another guy in the face point blank without hesitating.
Pretty shitty writing is you ask me.
I could write better stuff if I lived in LA and worked for a tv show.

Yeah...it's not exactly a character-driven masterpiece, is it? I still enjoy it for what it is, but it's sort of second-tier on the writing.
Even if it is implausible I thought the headphones thing was kind of a cool gimmick for the opening-- maybe it's an old Walkman running on batteries? I didn't see the device. Anyway, even if there is a plausible explanation for something like that, this writing staff has generally showed it's too lazy to reveal it.

Yeah, this show has its own flaws, it doesn't need ones made up from viewers who apparently forgot that there are technologies that existed a whole ten years ago.
