The many colours of the Baroness rainbow have been clicking with me big time for a while now.
I'm so glad I streamed this. It's a surprisingly intricate, atmospheric and diverse album.harmless wrote:The new Sepultura record is sounding good. The drumming is making me wet.

i don't think i've given the Max-less Sepultura a fair shake.harmless wrote:The new Sepultura record is sounding good. The drumming is making me wet.

Me neither. This is the only one I've heard and, as it turns out, probably a good one to start with.mf wrote:i don't think i've given the Max-less Sepultura a fair shake.harmless wrote:The new Sepultura record is sounding good. The drumming is making me wet.

The drumming style isn't very full of frills, but it's certainly more complex than Lars Ulrich so it's fine.
it just happenedSoma. wrote:Wait, Max left Sepultura? I knew there was a reason I left them alone.
The fuck? I like Soulfly okay, but he never rejoined? I assumed that there was no Sepultura without Max. Oh well, its just as well there are a thousand better bands to be worrying about.mf wrote:it just happenedSoma. wrote:Wait, Max left Sepultura? I knew there was a reason I left them alone.

Listen to that new one, though. The last time I liked a metal record that much, it was by Cult of Luna.Soma. wrote:The fuck? I like Soulfly okay, but he never rejoined? Obzen is fucking fantastic, that's really the only one I've listened to in full. It's so amazing though. So groove laden and well constructed.Soma. wrote:Mesh is such a sick band. Holy shit. I used to listen to them all the time but that was mostly due to a roomie I once had. Care to recommend any albums to jog my memory?

What really irritates me about "heavy" bands being trendy among youngsters is that it's all really a joke in comparison to Meshuggah.
yeah obZen is the record that really got me into Meshuggah so it's one of my favorites. Destroy Erase Improve is tits also. The new one is pretty fucking great as well.fishbob wrote:Obzen is fucking fantastic, that's really the only one I've listened to in full. It's so amazing though.
