Chris Cornell is 49 today. Holy shit! Pretty damn impressive that he still has all that vocal power pushing 50....

just went through DOTU for the first time in a while. "Bootcamp" is still one of my all-time favorite songs.

i love bootcamp...its powerful and yet sad. I think it describes SG music very well.

Recent article says they're going their separate ways after the European Tour. Not breaking up, just working on their own shit. Matt's back in Pearl Jam, Chris is working on a solo acoustic record and possible tour dates, Ben has his solo record, and Kim's going to work on compiling the B-sides box set.

Maybe we'll see a little more commitment out of Kim re: B-Sides now that they've reformed.

So I'm friends with a guy in my town who owns a pretty good record store. He got the biggest haul of Soundgarden vinyl in ever. Just ridiculous. OG US pressings of all the main LP's, pretty much every single that seems to exists. 10"'s, 7"'s, promo's you name it. I got first crack at it and thankfully, I have all the main studio albums. Ended up picking up the Jesus Christ Pose 12" with b-sides, and a 7" of Hands All Over that has a cover of Spinal Tap's "Big Bottoms" on it. Never even knew that existed. Also got an OG black press of Screaming Life. Passed on way more than I got. Was a crazy and potentially expensive day for me to be a Soundgarden fan today.

Tragically, Superunknown was pretty much spoken for.

Would love to hear them do another record. King Animal was great, obviously not as good as the 90s three but I think they could get even better if they stay on it!

Snippets of Ben Shephard's, In Deep Owl, are up on Amazon for those interested. Definitely sounds like one to check out, #12 really has me intrigued. Baron Robber and Collide are solid, too.

Heard Outshined in a Toyota commercial. This would have horrified me a few years ago but I can't muster up any outrage.
