Warren's is my stop after an Astros game on the way to catch the light rail out of downtown.

I reached out to the designer to inquire about a similar sign...The estimate was $10K!
Geez. Good looking sign, though.

We did: http://forums.theskyiscrape.com/viewtop ... es+of+neon

I had this convo in mind when I said that, though.

I don't see why I shouldn't move to Charleston. Totally my kind of city.

Here is where we ate:

The Obstinate Daughter
Blind Tiger
Husk
Darling Oyster Bar
Henry's
Lewis BBQ
Fleet Landing
Callie's Hot Little Biscuit
Paw Paw

We also found a great little dive on Folly Beach called Planet Follywood. Recognized our bartender from a tavern near rainbow row and we all shared shots and hurricane stories while we watched our flight back to Houston keep getting pushed back due to weather.

Quite possibly the friendliest city I've ever visited.

I forgot to tell you about Fleet Landing.

But yeah, you should move to Chuck town. We'd hang

And yet we still found it. And the she crab soup there was the best I tasted all week.

We'd for sure hang. Also -- LOL @ finally finding BBQ while visiting and it being Texas brisket and sausage. Really good, too. Bartender at Lewis told me that a guy from Franklin's started that place. Franklin's is one hell of a standard for brisket. If you ever eat or ate at Lewis, I can vouch for it being authentic. Nobody calls sausage "hot guts" here though...

I'll be in Charleston this weekend and plan on checking out a few new places while I'm there, along with a favorite of mine.

That signage looks good and those livers sound delicious, yet I can’t help but think that you’re spitting in the face of this thread’s true spirit. “I’ll be traveling 10 miles north.” Take it to the local neighborhood eatery thread, troll.

To be fair to Doug, 10 miles north in some parts of California takes long enough to be considered traveling.

If I ever go to Chicago I'm checking out Carniceria y Taqueria Tierra Caliente on W. North Ave.

I was googling the phone # for my local taco truck with the same name and accidentally stumbled across that business. Looks legit. Can anyone vouch?
