Those first 3 songs are killer. What the hell, Spenno.

Listening to the demos right now, they rule.
Please Dont Go is brilliant. Also Hey Debussy is classic Pixies.
This band rules so hard.

I agree with This Is My Fate and Ready For Love being kinda weak, and yes, they also might be growers. I think most of the demos are better songs though.

The extras are great, especially 'Hey Debussy'. The "just give me the album and nothing more" crowd are out of their damn minds.

Maybe I'll try again soon.

OK, so I did.
I gave up after the first three songs and put on
Trompe le Monde instead.

This made in interested in also listening to it for the first time. Now also three songs in I feel the same. It's not bad but I also absolutely do not care about it at all. The only Pixies I really love is the first two, though.

Yeah,
Bossanova and
TLM are a bit hit and miss, but I still like them and the high points are just as good as anything they ever did.

I just did, and it's no (say) River Euphrates.
I will say I liked a couple of songs on Indie Cindy, especially Blue-Eyed Hexe. That's a legitimately good Pixies song.

'Greens and Blues' is probably their best post-Kim song.

Come On Pilgrim came out 34 years ago, Spenno. I'd say they're doing pretty well. And by pretty well, I mean better than 99% of artists who've been at it for over three decades.

Oh, for sure.
I'm certainly glad they're still making a go of it, and Dave Lovering (for example) isn't scraping by in some boring job.
I just don't like the records they're making now.

Indie Cindy is the superior record, but I am still totally on board for a post-Covvie tour. I was meant to see them in May!
