Weird fact.

There were models and creatures actually made for phantom menace than all the other Star Wars film combined. And there were more CGI elements in force awakens than the prequel trilogy combined.

I disagree. I do agree the only reason it was included was to build up the prophecy angle with a virgin birth ( and thus, parallel Jesus Christ) but I don't agree midichlorians had to be used to do it.

Have him on coruscant training and then make the comment that he's strong in the Force. And everyone can feel it. It doesn't need do be explained in such a cluncky way. Just say he's special and be done with it.

The message coming from Pablo Hidalgo and Dave Feloni is that midichlorians was simply something used by the Jedi to measure a younglings eligibility to become part of the Jedi order. A big part of the downfall of the Jedi as It had no bearing or take in the living force or how the force manifested itself in different beings or events throughout the galaxy.


They had imposed dogma on the living force( aka the Jedi code) and those they took upon themselves to decide acceptable to learn its ways as they saw it and that ended badly for them, as it does in any situation where rules and standards are imposed on matters spiritual.

No love/no attachments/serve only the force (as seen through their framework of rules of how it should be used).


This lead to their downfall.

And all that could've happened without mentioning midichlorians at all.

Not really. They just explained it badly in the films is all. It should have been more explicitly that the Jedi and their order had lost their way. Should have been the second tier in the story after Anakins really.

They should take all of the themes and concepts from the prequels and get good writers to write new scripts and re-make them and just call them tweaked "Special Editions."

If it was any other company we'd see the franchise get bought and sold and remade every few decades. Won't happen now.

Rumour is one of Lucas' caveats was it stands as is. No remakes of the prequels eps or what came before.

Another rumour is the long rumoured tv show will be knights of the old republic. That's what we will see. On tv. Not in film.

Which has more impact now though? Tv or film? Think they're gonna wait and see where the chips fall

I hope so but the thought is scary

I wouldn't say scary. My uncle is a huge Trek and Wars fan and he turned 60 this year. He (wrongly) thought the 2nd reboot Trek movie was the best Trek movie of all time.

So, i say bring 'em on! We went long enough without Star Wars on any kind of film. I'm far from being bored with it.
