looking forward to boxing day, flying out Christmas, weird that we have the Ashes already, never thought that was going to happen before this test. Fantastic effort from everyone involved, especially Boof, Clarke, Mitch, Hadds, Warner and Harris. Not that long ago the only involved with our team was Clarke.

Surely not another collapse? Come on boys, this is awful.

This will be over by tea tomorrow, whichever way it falls.
The Australian line up showed all their frailties in that first innings. You know they are there.

I reckon we can win this.

We should give these batsmen until the end of the SA series in February. Any batsmen who don't perform by then should make way for Khawaja or Doolan or whoever.

nah, not khawaja.

Khawaja has gotten starts but he had always had to fight for his place. He has not had enough of a run.
He would be my choice at number 3 with Bailey or Watson at 6.

i think no. 6 is way too late in the order for watson.

nah, i think he's fine at 3. if he's not doing well at 3 i can't see him doing well at any position.

He's a slogger who should be at 6.
In other news: 4-0.

They've forgotten how to win. That's where Australia were 6 months ago. Their confidence is shot, they're a long way from home and the squad is in tatters. At least some if the senior guys showed up this test.

5-0 is almost a formality at this point.

Only twice in the history of test cricket has a team led by 100+ in the third innings with ten wickets in hand and gone on to lose by 8 wickets. No team has lost by 9 and England came close. Sums up the level of disappointment with losing that one. This series has been an absolute massacre.
Will be interesting to see if Australia can take this form into the SA series.

Jacques Kallis also deserves a mention here too. Possibly the greatest player of the last 15 years.

Kallis is top five for sure. You'd probably have to have Tendulkar at 1.

Yes indeed! It was awesome, 91,000 plus. The MCG is a magnificant venue.
