For real, though: this might be a better conversation to have in the election thread, but I think there is a huge problem with the fact that people keep using the phrase "non-college-educated whites" to describe Trump's base, because lots of college-educated people probably hear that and think, "Oh, poor people." Mocking the income of Trump supporters could have the same effect of labeling them all as racists and misogynists: with good reason, they'll snap back with, "I'm not poor, fuck you!" and come out to defend themselves at the polls again.

Finally watched this and I found it pretty awful - what a demonstration of the kind of self-satisfied, pious hectoring that many people find so off-putting about modern liberalism.

Pence deserves to go see a show with his family like anybody else, even the most public of figures deserves a private life.
