i guess the way PJ addressed the drummer history in PJ20 was foreshadowing for this snub. it's not that these were people / artists / human beings with souls who contributed to the band, and now let's thoughtfully reflect on that component of the art/ band -instead it's just: they were people who used to bang the drums and now they don't anymore and i don't want to talk about it.
very mature for a band that made millions on representations of 'moral high ground'

i don't go to the Pit often but looks like there are some people very salty about the Dave A snub there as well
hm, some suggesting that the recent Ed check-writing for charity donations were timed and publicized to coincide with this snub as a PR smokescreen
